WyoTech Offers Students Combined Automotive, Diesel Training

dieseltrucktrainingToday’s automotive service professionals have to deal with a wide range of engine types — traditional internal combustion, Wankel rotary, diesel, gas/electric hybrids, all-electric and more. The more technology you can master, the greater the demand for your skills.

This is why WyoTech automotive career training schools offer its students a combined automotive/diesel program curriculum.

At the WyoTech campuses in Laramie, Wyo., and Blairsville, Pa., you can combine traditional automotive with diesel training courses to ┬áprepare you to work on both types of cars and trucks. First, choose either the Automotive Technology or Diesel Technology core training. After you’ve completed those courses, you can “crossover” to learn the complementary technology as well.

If you choose the automotive core program, you may select two additional six week courses in diesel engine training. Your choices include:

  • Diesel Power Trains
  • Diesel Fluid Power and Electrical Systems
  • Diesel Engines
  • Diesel Engine Management Systems and ┬áRefrigeration

If you start with the diesel core program, you may select two from the following automotive courses:

  • Basic Engine Management Systems
  • Drivability Diagnostics
  • Chassis
  • Drivetrain Systems

At the end of ┬ánine months, you’ll have a well-rounded background that qualifies you to perform inspection, maintenance and repair services on the vast majority of motor vehicles currently on the road.
