WyoTech in Fremont, Calif., offers an Advanced Automotive Diagnostics specialty concentration as part of its Automotive Technology career education program. This 19.5-month program offers students hands-on training in a modern workshop environment where they learn how to operate a variety of popular analytic devices and properly read the data they provide. Virtually every part of a vehicle that depends on electronics is covered, including:

  • Transmissions
  • Emissions Systems

The Automotive Technology Program

Advanced Automotive Diagnostics is just one of the specialty concentrations students can take as part of WyoTech’s Automotive Technology career training program. Providing intensive, hands-on training in key aspects of automotive mechanics, the Automotive Technology program is taught by industry professionals eager to train the next generation of technical specialists. The program combines traditional classroom lectures with workshop training on a wide variety of vehicles. Students get experience on all the popular “tools of the trade” so they’re ready to compete for entry-level jobs immediately upon graduation.

Students who graduate from this and other WyoTech programs can take advantage of the school’s Career Services department, which offers ongoing support with resumes, interviewing techniques, and identifying and contacting local employers.
