Daytona Beach is the unofficial “Motor Bike Capital of America” because of the two major motorcycle-themed festivals held their annually: Bike Week, a 10-day long event held in March, and Biketoberfest, held over four days in mid-October. It is here near Daytona’s fabled hard sand beaches that WyoTech has build its 100,000-square-foot Florida campus, a large portion of which is devoted to its Motorcycle Technology career education program. Whether a student is interested in basic motorcycle repair or looking to hone his/her skills with a specific motorcycle brand or style, WyoTech offers hands-on training from experienced industry professionals.

Eight Core Courses

Students in WyoTech’s Motorcycle Technology program in Daytona Beach take four core courses that familiarize them with the basics of motorcycle technology. These include:

  • Suspension and Brake Systems
  • Four Stroke and Two Stroke Engines
  • Fundamentals of Electricity and Electrical Systems
  • Fuel Systems and Service

From there, students can study one of four specialty concentration fields:

  • Asian Motorcycles
  • European Motorcycles
  • Harley-Davidson Motorcycles
  • Off-Road Power
  • Job Search Support

Coming out of the WyoTech Motorcycle Technology program, students can take advantage of the school’s Career Services department. These specialists help graduates fashion winning resumes, rehearse effective interviewing techniques and identify job opportunities in their area.
