WyoTech Offers Motorcycle Training with Harley-Davidson Focus

Harley-Davidson ConcentrationFor more than half a century, the Harley-Davidson motorcycle has been a symbol of American grit, freedom, individualism and the “outlaw” spirit. People who ride Harleys have a bond with their bikes that is unique among motorcycle enthusiasts. And those who service and repair Harleys are truly a breed apart.

For the Harley enthusiast who would like a career maintaining and repairing “hogs,” WyoTech-Fremont (94539) and WyoTech-Daytona (32174) offer a Motorcycle Technology program with a Harley-Davidson concentration. The 18-month program provides students with the background and technical skills needed to diagnose, service and repair H-D brand motorcycles.

The program begins with a “core” curriculum that covers general motorcycle technology. Students can apply the training in this session to virtually any brand or model of modern motorcycle. From there, those taking the Harley-Davidson concentration move on to study:

  • Harley-Davidson engines
  • Harley-Davidson chassis
  • Harley-Davidson engine controls

Students get hands-on experience in the disassembly, inspection and assembly of Harley’s Big Twins engines. They also learn the measurements and adjustments critical to proper engine operation.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of WyoTech’s Motorcycle Technology/Harley-Davidson Concentration program are qualified for entry-level jobs in H-D dealerships, repair shops and performance-oriented special businesses.
