WyoTech Laramie hosted its 17th annual Student Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 27th, 2008. Current WyoTech students and their families were invited to this free event.
The yearly Thanksgiving Dinner is an event that was started by then housing director, Mario Ibarra, and a small group of WyoTech students who joined forces to put on a student pot-luck dinner for families who were unable to make it home for the holiday.
This year's dinner served over 900 students and members of their families. Imagine over 100 turkeys, 60 hams, hundreds of pounds of potatoes and stuffing, gallons of dressing, and hundreds of pies to top off dessert!
Dozens of WyoTech employees and members of the community volunteered their time to make it an unforgettable meal.
Each year, the dinner has grown larger and has outgrown several venues. It's only fitting this grand yearly event would find a home in the WyoTech Laramie diesel shop.
All of us here at WyoTech, wish every one of you the very best during the holiday season.
