The Importance of RHVAC Filters

There are a variety of RHVAC (Residential Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) filters on the market for both consumer and commercial use. The most common type of HVAC furnace filters are the fiberglass disposable ones bought at most hardware or retail stores. Other common types include metal or washable plastic fiber type filters.

Washable filters may save money, but are not always as efficient at filtering the air as disposable filters. The most effective filters might just very well be the Electronic Air Cleaners that can be used in conjunction with mechanical filtering media.

Here are some of the items that a good filtering system can catch: pollen, lint, mildew, mold, fungi, Virus's, spores, dirt, pet odors, dust, dander, dust mites, smoke, cooking orders, formaldehyde odors, bathroom and chemical odors, tobacco odors, and much more!

Air quality control is extremely important in the health care industry. The amount of airborne infectious material increases with the amount of infected individuals in a medical facility. Air filters can be relied on to offer excellent protection in heath care facilities as long as they are a part of an overall air quality program.

A good air filter component includes:

  • Air filters
  • Air filter housings
  • Temp and Humidity Control

Air filters are only one small component in the world of RHVAC. The men and women that work in the world of RHVAC have an entire array of systems they work on within the industry.
