Have You Ever Seen A Car Creeper?

wyotech-shop-work.jpgFor many people, the term might bring to mind someone lurking or creeping around a car! However, if you've ever had to do any work under your car without the benefit of it being hoisted by a hydraulic lift, the device you probably used while "flat-backing it" is called a car creeper.

For the do-it-yourself car mechanic, using a car creeper can often be a miserable part of car maintenance. However, having a car creeper makes the task of working under your vehicle a lot easier than completely lying flat on your back in grease and grime.

Your basic car creeper is made of a steel frame, and usually a cushioned surface with underlying metal wheels for easy mobility. The surface of the car creeper is normally covered with vinyl material, which makes it easier to clean oil spills and other related dirt and grime.

You can expect most models to have a comfortable head rest, and the more expensive models may come with adjustable headrests. If you're really into luxury, perhaps you can find a car creeper with a tool tray attached.

When using the car creeper, jack your car off the floor a little more than you would if changing a tire. Take your time and be careful! Safety is a priority, and you don't want the car to fall on you. Once everything is set, and you feel comfortable the car is secured, go ahead and roll yourself under the vehicle. You're now ready to get to work!

You could be one of the thousands of people wondering what tomorrow will bring with respect to your career possibilities. Times are tough, and a lot of people are looking for ways to better secure their professional future.
