Modern Auto Trends—A Career in Automotive Technology Still Makes Sense!

wyotech-auto-shop.JPGWhile the world is pushing for greener technology, the gasoline powered engine is here to stay for a bit longer.

And here are a few reasons why:

1. Gasoline is still easy to store.

2. Tooling and new engineering to produce new vehicles takes from three to five years. New models usually take several years on the market to become serious contenders and sellers.

3. An effective use of energy is focusing, in the short run, on changing the driving habits over technology. Technology is following, but it will take time to catch up to the nation's needs.

4. There may be a lot of media and internet buzz about plug-in hybrids, electric cars, and hydrogen. However, the truth remains it will take time to make the revolutionary changes needed to transform from gasoline powered engines, to hybrid vehicle technologies.

No doubt, the US has hybrid technology in the works, but in the meantime, the millions of cars and trucks on the road are always in need of qualified mechanics that can get the job done when needed.

There's no reason why you can't be one of the thousands of  professionals earning a living in the exciting field of automotive technology!
