Labor Day Weekend was a dream weekend for NHRA Pro racer Steve Johnson.
The 22-year veteran won his second U.S. Nationals title in Indianapolis, moving him into the NHRA Countdown to 1 Championship program. Steve also set a top speed of 192.03 mph with his sizzling Snap-on Tools/WyoTech technical schools Suzuki motorcycle.
Steve was in it-to win it, and vaulted past Craig Treble to take over the eighth position on the Top 10 list. This is critically important for Steve as the points are now going to be tightened up as the Countdown to 1 begins.
Steve is known for having one of the most boisterous personalities in the NHRA POWERade Series, and is taking this victory in stride.
WyoTech, the offical Technical School of the NHRA, proudly sponsors Steve Johnson. Steve also expresses his gratitude for the support of all his sponsors.
Winning the U.S. Nationals once is a dream come true-but winning it twice is quite a feat.
Hats off to Steve Johnson and his magnificent racing team for a superb effort.
