WyoTech is proud to announce that diesel tuner, racer, business owner and WyoTech alum, Cory Calvin, will be the special guest at the WyoTech booth during the 80th FFA National Agricultural Career Show.
Appearing at the event is an opportunity to promote two institutions that helped Calvin achieve success in life.
As an FAA alumni and certified for Cummins diesel engines from Cummins Rocky Mountain in Colorado, Cory Calvin completed diesel technology, business management and advanced diesel at WyoTech’s Laramie, Wyoming campus.
Cory eventually used the skills he acquired to start his own diesel tuning shop, Ultimate Diesel Performance in Fort Lupton, Colorado. Cory will be at the WyoTech booth during the show to meet students, offer advice and share his experiences.
As a Motorsports enthusiast, Cory has placed first in several competitive racing events such as Extreme Diesel Showdown in the Modified Class and the High Altitude Truck and Tractor Challenge in the Super Modified Class. Cory has also competed in DHRA events in Tulare, CA and Las Vegas, NV and came in third at Truck Fest ’06 in Morrison, CO.
Cory’s pride and joy is his 2006 Laramie Edition Dodge Ram 2500. This intimidating 1200 hp monster is complete with a four-door short bed, 6-inch lift, 35″ pro-com tires, custom twin CP3 injection system and two FASS pumps, max-spool VI cam, custom 300 hp injectors, billet internals, coated pistons, custom-ported cylinder head, custom aluminum intake, NADP full billet race transmission, Bully Dog custom tuning, dual-stage electronic nitrous system, and Ultimate Diesel custom-built twin turbos.
The fully-loaded Dodge is an advertisement-on-wheels, a plug for his shop’s product line and capabilities. The 2006 Laramie Edition Dodge Ram 2500 showcases the talents and skills Cory received through WyoTech’s hands-on training.
WyoTech will be exhibiting in booths 8018-9021. Representatives will be on hand to discuss the many career opportunities available to graduates of
WyoTech’s programs in automotive, diesel, collision refinishing, motorcycle, aviation and marine technology, as well as construction trades. FFA National Agricultural Career Show representatives anticipate more than 54,000 attendees for the show, which will be held October 24-26, 2007 at the Indiana Convention Center (ICC) in Indianapolis, Indiana.
