29 year-old Marine Staff Sergeant, Octavia Sanchez, will get the surprise of a lifetime when he gets to see the restoration of his 1962 Impala. Octavia was the victim of a roadside bomb in Iraq that resulted in the loss of his right hand. He also sustained injuries to his left hand and third-degree burns over 70% of his body.

20th Anniversary Career Opportunities Fair

Each year, in conjunction with the Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals, the NHRA hosts the Career Opportunities Fair (COF) presented by the U.S. Army. High School students, instructors and school administrators from all over Southern California are invited to attend. In 2007, over 3,000 students attended from San Bernardino, San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange Counties.
